Head Coach Landon Jacobs After heading up the Frosh/Soph program in 2005 and 06, Coach Jacobs took over the varsity program in 2007 and lead the team to the Santa Teresa Division BVAL championship. This moved Branham back up to the Mt Hamilton Division in 2008, where the Bruins again qualified for CCS. Jacobs is now in his 4th year as the varsity coach, and has 10 years of coaching experience, including 1 year as the varsity assistant coach at San Mateo High School. He caught and played first base for four years at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, serving as team captain his senior year. This is also his sixth year teaching at Branham. Jacobs earned his teaching credential, masters in education and administrative credential from San Jose State University. He has been married to his wife Lisa (an avid baseball fan) for 5 1/2 years. |

Pitching Coach Kim Davison This is Coach Davison’s 11th year on the Branham Baseball coaching staff as he continues in his position as varsity pitching coach this season. In addition to his service to the baseball program, he also assisted the varsity football program at Branham for three years. Davison has twenty-three years of baseball coaching experience at various levels of competition. He has been a fireman in Redwood City for twenty-eight years, and has lived in San Jose for forty years. Davison’s father coaches the Junior Varsity team, and his son Steve was a four year starter for the Branham football program, as well as a three year starter for the baseball team. Davison is married and has two children. |

Hitting Coach Steve Janssen This is Coach Janssen’s fourth year as the varsity hitting coach. Under his guidance the past three years the varsity team has had unprecedented success at the plate, posting a team batting average of .305. He has 22 years of coaching experience at every level from t-ball to high school. Janssen played one year of baseball at DeAnza College. His youngest son Eric played for four years at Branham, and his older son Greg has also coached at various levels. Janssen has worked for the City of Mountain View for 22 years, and has been happily married to his wife Cindy for 31 years. |

JV Head Coach Justin Halas Coach Halas leads the JV program for the second straight year. After leading the JV soccer team to a successful season in 2008-09, he took over the defensive coordinator position for the Branham varsity football team in 2009. This is his second year teaching Physical Education and coaching at Branham. Halas coached track and football for one year each at Peninsula High School in Pales Verdes in Southern California. He earned his bachelor degree from Cal State San Bernardino, where he played soccer, and received his teaching credential from National University. Halas also taught one year of elementary school in Pales Verdes, and one year of Junior High in Beverly Hills. |

Coach Rod Davison Coach Davison is entering his 9th year of coaching at Branham, and has coached baseball for 18 years at various levels. He helped lead the 2007 Frosh/Soph team to a League Championship. Davison was an Airforce Captain/Pilot for eight years before working for General Electric Nuclear for twenty-five years, and has lived in San Jose for forty years. Davison has been married to his wife Carol for 56 years and has three children and four grandchildren. His son Kim is the varsity pitching coach, and his grandson Steve attended Branham and played football for four years. Davison played four years of Semi-professional baseball in the Knox County Hardball League in Illinois. |

Coach CJ McCormick Coach McCormick starred for the 2007 League Champion team pitching 60 innings and posting a 3.38 ERA. His 7-1 record was a key in leading the Bruins to a school record 22 wins on the season. McCormick is in his second year coaching at Branham, and has coached at baseball camps at Branham and Stanford University. He will rely on his extensive experience to work with the JV pitchers. McCormick is currently attending San Jose State, pursuing his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering. |
